tenacious  　(形)粘り強い

を使ってParagraph を書いてみました。

I am tenacious when my husband, Hiro, loses his temper. If I also get emotional, the situation will be worse and worse and keeping a good relationship will be more difficult. I make an effort to make him calm down. For example, I find conversation topics to distract his anger; I serve delicious food. On the other hand, when I see a long line at the cashier’s line at a supermarket, I often slack off to continue shopping or go to other supermarkets. I’m inpatient with waiting for something or someone for a long time because I don’t want to waste my time.

私は夫のヒロが怒ったときに我慢する。私が感情的になれば状況はますます悪くなるし、良い関係を保つのも難しくなる。彼が落ち着くように努力する。例えば彼の気をそらすような話題を見つけることや、美味しいご飯を出すことだ。一方で私はスーパーのレジの長い列を見ると、買い物をし続けることに耐えられず、他のスーパーに行く。時間を無駄にしたくないからだ。

slack off  は、怠ける、さぼる、速度を緩める　という意味ですが、アメリカ人に聞いてみると、がまんできない状況にも使えるよ、とのことでした。tenaciousと反対の状況ですね。
